At the Hawkesbury RFS Championship Day, 2010 our Freemans Reach RFB crew was brilliantly and very competently led by Deputy Captain Harvey Rawlings, with Andrew Griffith, Sharon Steel, Peter Hession and Andrew Williams all performing excellently under the judges’ scrutiny. The crew all went about their tasks knowledgeably with the benefits of regular, back-to-basics training shining through on the day.

The repetition of lots of hose lays and training scenarios held our crew in very good stead for whatever challenge was asked of them during the events. We went into the Championships just happy to be competing but were surprised and ecstatic at the day’s results. This is a proud day in our Brigade’s history. To share the trophy with Tennyson, a Brigade whom we regard very highly, was also a pleasing end to the day.
