October 2023 is Australia’s Mental Health Month and also National Safe Work Month, which provides a timely reminder for all RFS and brigade members to ask yourselves and others around you – “R U OK?“. It’s important to have conversations, and especially relevant to the brigade’s work where we’re in stressful situations on a regular basis. We’re a team and can support one another when on the fireground, or during other incidents. We have all been in situations where we’ve either been struggling ourselves or have seen others struggling.
