Say thank you to your employer for supporting NSW RFS Volunteers

Nominations for the Supportive Employer Program, 2015 Special Commendation are now open

The NSW RFS Supportive Employer Program has been developed to recognise the vital contribution employers make to the NSW RFS; in particular by releasing volunteers to attend incidents and other NSW RFS activities during work hours.

There is an option to;

  •          request a Certificate of Appreciation and/or
  •          nominate your employer for a Special Commendation.

The Special Commendation publically recognises businesses and self-employed volunteers who have gone ‘above and beyond’ to help the NSW RFS and its volunteers, protect the community from bush fires and other emergencies.

Successful Special Commendation nominations for the years 2013 and 2014 were presented with a trophy and a profile about their organisation/business is available on the NSW RFS internet.

See how some of your fellow volunteers are being supported by their employer click here.

Requesting a Certificate of Appreciation is available all year round however,  nominations for the Special Commendation close on the 10th April 2015.
